Equine Encore Foundation

Big Mistake
Also known as El Guapo by his loving owners who purchased him following his brief 8 start racing career in southern California, became our 72nd resident on Saturday, October 24, 2015. This handsome bay who was foaled April 25, 2003 in Kentucky was no longer sound enough to continue in the show ring and his family was determined that he have a dignified retirement. They delivered him themselves so that they could be certain that Equine Encore Foundation was the right place for him. The care he has received is obvious because he is a happy, fun-loving guy who immediately fell in love with volunteer, Michelle. Although his racing career was short, he was a very successful racehorse, lighting the board 6 times out of 8 starts and running on both dirt and the turf. He was last ridden by Corey Nakatani at Santa Anita on February 8, 2007.
