Life's Journey
He joined us on a rainy Sunday, July 24, 2017. Southern Arizona was in the midst of its monsoon season and K.C. Horse Transport braved 8 miles of muddy dirt road to deliver him to us. KUDOS TO K.C. HORSE TRANSPORT FOR THEIR GRIT AND DETERMINATION! Although Life's Journey was bred in Kentucky, he raced his entire career in southern California and was Graded Stakes Placed. This good-natured son of Kipling out of a Moscow Ballet mare, Easy Obsession, earned $157,780 in his 27 starts. His racing career spanned 4 years (2013--2016) Unfortunately, he ruptured his right front tendon at Santa Anita on October 14, 2016. Fortunately, he was placed in the CARMA Placement Program. It was hoped that he could go on to another career but when it was learned that this would not be possible, he was placed in sanctuary with us. Thanks to his loving connections and the CARMA folks this spunky chestnut gelding has found a world after racing!
